This 38mm button badge depicts a Sheelagh na Gig with the colours of the Intersex Inclusive Progress Flag festooning her gig. Sheelagh na Gig was carved into stonework all over Europe by the Celts. Her flagrant and exuberant sexuality didn’t sit well with the patriarchal Roman church but there are still Sheelaghs carved into the walls of churches and cathedrals due to her enduring popularity.
